With updates to the design, protection and comfort aspects, the CCM Tacks AS 580 Senior Hockey Shin Guards are designed to offer competitive protection while improving mobility.
Starting with the Tacks AS 580 ball joints, there is a higher level JDP cap construction plus a protective and comfortable donut. This pro-level cap is designed to disperse impact force away from the knee joint. For added padding and comfort there is the donut in the knee, which will help keep the knee in place and offer optimal comfort.
Just above the AS 580's kneecaps is a medium density foam thigh protector. This professional level thigh protector offers superior protection between the knee and the bottom of the hockey pants.
Going down to the shin, the Tacks AS 580 shin guards feature an anatomically fit PE shin guard that provides players with high level protection and durability. Additionally, there is a tape slot that allows players to lock the hockey tape keeping the pads stable throughout the game.
In the calf area of the Tacks AS 580 shin guards, CCM incorporated an exposed injection molded calf. This premium injection molded calf protector gives you professional level protection against knocks and bumps to the calf area.
Keeping everything secure are Adaptfit straps that include a length-adjustable calf strap. This adjustable strap will help the shin guard wrap any size calf comfortably and keep it snug and in place throughout your game.
