Introduction and new features
Created for the elite player, the FT8 skate incorporates CCM's latest and most innovative technological advancements. The popular Game Ready Fit system returns with key improvements including 195 stiffness, RFM Composite construction, ADPT foams, a more aggressive speed stride, the Step Steel slider, and the Speedblade XS bracket.

Skate fit profile
The FT8 skate prioritizes comfort in its innovations with an improved Game Ready Fit system for its third generation. CCM has optimized the anatomical shape for a better heel fit and greater support in the forefoot area. The precision provided by the reinforcement in these areas translates into a more dynamic fit for high-level skaters, and when combined with ADPT memory foam, it provides the player with a snug fit and keeps the foot aligned with the natural physiological composition of the foot and leg.

The FT8 skates are available in three fit profiles: tapered, regular, and wide.

Tapered: Narrow forefoot, Narrow heel, Low volume
Regular: Medium forefoot, Medium heel, Medium volume
Width: Wide forefoot, Wider heel, Wide high volume

These three profiles allow the player to choose the skate that best fits their foot profile within a specific skate family, eliminating the limitations of choice based on fit rather than performance.

Boot construction and stiffness profile
The boot is constructed from a molded RFM compound, an NHL material designed to withstand intense play. RFM is notable for reducing the skate's weight without sacrificing durability. The FT8 skate has a stiffness rating of 195, up from its predecessor's 180. In addition to the RFM construction, the boot also features a more aggressive speed shift, allowing for quickness off the toe and a more explosive stride, crucial for playing at the highest level.

Lining and internal padding
The FT8 skate features a TotalDri Pro lining that wicks away moisture and keeps your feet comfortable and dry. This lining is treated with Polygiene, an antimicrobial technology that fights odor and bacteria to keep your feet fresh throughout the game.

Lacing system
The skate maintains the standard lacing system, with reinforced eyelets on the upper for added durability.

Tongue
The FT8's tongue has been optimized for comfort through the use of layered ADPT memory foam and a molded core, while also incorporating FlexMotion technology, which allows for improved forward flex and prevents lace bite.

Steel/Skid/Profile/Blade Holder
CCM has equipped the FT8 skate with the Step Steel blade. This steel blade is considered one of the highest-quality options available on the market and features 4 mm more height than standard blades for greater durability.

The improved Speedblade XS mount comes standard on the FT8 Pro skate. The quick release mount and blade locking system have been optimized for faster changes where needed.

Templates
This skate features a molded insole with ADPT memory foam, with improvements focused on comfort, lightness, and responsiveness. This insole incorporates a heel grip to keep your foot in place during play.

Designs
The FT8 skate is inspired by the skates of the INLINE Jetspeed, with red and black colors present throughout the skate. This year's version features a more fluid design, with red and black on the quarter package and a dark silver CCM logo on the side and heel.
