The Tacks AS-V skates feature the close-to-the-foot anatomical fit that players are used to with the INLINE Tacks. This snug 360-degree fit around the forefoot, heel and ankle helps eliminate negative space within the boot, allowing for more efficient power transfer, which means greater speed and agility.

Sticking with the boot, the Tacks AS-V Skates utilize CCM's one-piece “Power” boot technology. This boot is for the modern skater with an intense stride. The AS-V Pro Tacks seek to give explosiveness without restrictions from the first moment. Players will get more direct power transfer and a tighter fit to the foot to help keep them as quick and agile as possible on the ice. This one-piece boot is constructed from RFM composite carbon with a lightweight core. This NHL-caliber lightweight composite material will have a reinforced core for durability. It will have a stiffness of 190 that is lightweight and thermoformable for the best skating performance.

At the front of the AS-V skate is CCM's replaceable asymmetric tritech tongue with D30 foam. This 7mm multi-layer tongue will have enhanced lace bite protection and a D30 Lite foam insert for excellent protection.

The interior of the Tacks AS-V Skates is packed with features that enhance comfort and durability. The TotalDri Pro Liner with Polygiene is a high performance moisture wicking material that helps wick moisture away from the body, keeping you dry and light. Interior multi-density memory foam in the ankle areas anatomically wraps around players' ankles keeping them comfortably locked in place. On the rear of the skate, the Powerflex tendon protector provides an enhanced range of motion for fuller strides and increased skating power. Finally, for the footbed, CCM is using their Ortholite Ultralite footbed. This will offer premium comfort and support using recycled EVA foams.

Moving to the bottom half of the Tacks AS-V Skates, CCM uses their popular SpeedBlade XS mount. These mounts were developed as a quick and easy way for gamers to replace runners on the fly, while ensuring a consistent feel at all times. The brackets use a positive locking mechanism that firmly secures the slides to the bracket to prevent the blade from loosening during play.
