CCM introduces its new 591 turning angle on the Axis 2, which is based on the very popular 590 or 60 degree turning angle, but redesigned to improve lock-in and feel. Paired with an all-new one-piece LITECORE injection molded sleeve design, Axis 2 offers a large blocking surface to show off the shooter and allow for a natural catch. D30 material is visible throughout the palm for additional protection and a game-ready palm allows for easy break-ins. In the glove pocket, CCM has taken the huge success of previous models and added a straight double T on the Axis 2. This pocket allows the goalkeeper to look fully into his pocket and still give in to a soft catch. At the base of the T's spine is a U-shaped design that maintains a clean connection point and promotes simple draw and a play-ready feel. Inside the glove, CCM has completely changed the fit of the Axis 2. It now has a cross-shaped strap, which secures the back of the hand through multiple attachment points. An entirely new finger surface is designed to offer a custom feel in the glove. Finally, CCM uses a new AX Suede Dura Palm with Polygiene and Odor Crunch, designed to provide optimal comfort and feel as well as superior odor management. The backhand and cuff utilize the new FlexMotion2 design, where the cuff offers strategic flex points and rolling protection allowing a greater range of motion, the backhand is a strategic Tri-Flex design offering unmatched high impact protection.
