On the sidewall, CCM has retained the true no-holds-barred design to make the Axis 2 even more durable. At the fingers, CCM has retained the curved toe guard design that was so popular on the original Axis and improved on it by combining it with a molded X-Stiff sidewall for unmatched strength and impact protection. The HD foam wrap and D3O wrap around the fingers also return to offer complete protection for all fingers. On the rear cuff, CCM introduces the new FlexMotion2, which has strategic segmentation and adjustability to provide a personal fit. CCM uses a new AX Suede Dura Palm with Polygiene and Odor Crunch, designed to provide optimal comfort and feel as well as superior odor management.
